Kowhai South Auckland has been proudly owned and operated by Ian’s Roofing Services Ltd T/A Kowhai South Auckland since 2017.

Owner Ian Smith brings generations of roofing expertise, having learned the craft from his father, who worked in the industry until retirement. This blend of traditional “old school” knowledge with modern techniques and products ensures every job is done right.

Ian and his wife Trudy, who manages administration and customer service, started Ian’s Roofing Services in 2009 before joining the Kowhai network in 2017. Today, they lead a tight-knit team of six who take pride in their work and treat every project as if it were their own.

​

The team is highly versatile, offering everything from moss treatments, roof cleaning, and recoating to leak callouts, general repairs, and full reroofs. Safety is a top priority, with all staff holding Site Safe and Working at Heights certification.
