Kowhai Mt Maunganui / Whakatane

​Kowhai Mount Maunganui / Whakatane has been owned and operated by Steve Bickerton since 2010.
 

Steve is a true renaissance man and could probably hunt some meat, butcher it, cook and serve you a gourmet meal and do the dishes afterward! In his wide and varied career, he’s been a qualified butcher, worked in a paint and panel workshop, and run a kitchen in a hotel.

He started working in roof maintenance in 1994 and loved it so much that he took on the Kowhai franchise in 2010.

These days he also employs a qualified roofer so between them they offer a full gamut of roofing services.

Steve lives at the beach and after work you’ll most likely find him drone fishing or walking his dog along the dunes. His other interests include hunting and quad biking.
