Kowhai Christchurch/Canterbury has been proudly owned and operated by Flawless Finishes Ltd, T/A Kowhai Christchurch, since 2017.

Owner Kieran Fahy, originally from Ireland, has spent most of his life in the painting and decorating trade. In Ireland, he launched his own business, Flawless Finishes, which he successfully ran for over two and a half years before setting off to travel the world.

​

After settling in Christchurch, Kieran partnered with Iain Sandilands to establish Flawless Finishes Ltd, delivering expert painting and decorating services across Canterbury. In 2017, they joined the Kowhai network, taking on the Christchurch South franchise. By 2019, they expanded to cover all of Christchurch and North Canterbury, and in 2022, extended their reach as far as Blenheim.

Today, they manage multiple teams of highly skilled roof spray painters and apprentices, ensuring every project receives the time, care, and attention needed for an outstanding roof transformation.

Strong processes and a commitment to safety underpin their success. Every job includes scaffolding or edge protection, and all crew members complete Asbestos Awareness Training to protect clients, staff, and anyone near the worksite.

While Kieran remains focused on roof restorations, his passion for painting and decorating continues earning him a position on the board of Upper South Master Painters NZ.
